Woodley Fest Brings Joy, Music and Community Spirit to Woodley Grange

November’s Love Life Café theme was ‘Woodley Fest’. and what a fantastic afternoon it turned out to be! Nearly 30 people consisting of residents, families, staff and visitors came together for an event full of music, laughter and plenty of dancing, enjoying refreshments, live music, games and a raffle, all while raising funds for an important local cause.

We were delighted to welcome Libby from ROMDAG (Romsey Dementia Action Group), who joined us for the celebration. She spent the afternoon chatting with residents, enjoying the entertainment and even joining us on the dancefloor! Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we raised over £200, helping support ROMDAG’s invaluable work in the community!

In a lovely message sent after the event, ROMDAG shared how honoured they were to be chosen as the month’s charity and expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome Libby received at Woodley Grange. They explained that the donation will go directly towards keeping their weekly activity groups running, providing stimulating puzzles, games and singing sessions for people living with dementia. It’s wonderful to know that the joy shared at Woodley Fest will continue to make a difference long after the day itself.
