Woodley Grange officially celebrated the completion of its major refurbishment, welcoming residents, families, friends and members of the local community to a special Grand Opening in September.
Our award-winning care home in Romsey has been transformed with refreshed interiors, new furniture, lighting, curtains, fabrics and thoughtfully designed living spaces, creating a stylish yet comfortable environment for the people who call Woodley Grange home.
Creating Beautiful, Comfortable Spaces
Inspired by boutique hotel interiors, the refurbishment was designed to enhance Woodley’s surroundings while retaining the warm and homely atmosphere that has always been at the heart of the home.
Resident Anne Hollaway, who has lived at Woodley since 2022, was given the honour of officially opening the newly refurbished home alongside Shabbir Walji, Managing Director of Manucourt Ltd.
Anne said:
“Refurbishment of Woodley Grange is now complete, and it is excellent. If you visited Woodley Grange today, you would think it was a new care home.
“They have all new furniture, new curtains, lovely lighting, beautiful ornaments, and Woodley Grange has a lovely garden.
“Woodley Grange is wonderful.”
Shabbir added:
“We wanted this redevelopment to create something really special for the people who live at Woodley Grange, while protecting everything that has always made the home such a warm and welcoming place.
“It has been wonderful to see the transformation come together, but what makes me particularly proud is hearing what our residents and their families think of the new surroundings.
“Woodley Grange has always been about its people, so it was only right that Anne should help us officially open this new chapter for the home.”
Jo Over, whose mum has lived at Woodley Grange for four years, said the refurbishment had enhanced a home that was already very special to her family.
“Long before all these fabulous changes, this place was already brilliant. It has always been somewhere that feels caring, friendly, and welcoming.
“The changes are fantastic. It’s clear how much thought, time and effort has gone into creating an environment that is not only beautiful, but comfortable, enjoyable and somewhere the residents can really feel proud to call home.”
She added:
“A building can have beautiful décor, lovely furniture and all the latest facilities, but what truly makes a care home special is the people inside it. And that is something this home has always got right.”
Celebrating Our Grand Opening
Guests were invited to explore the newly refurbished facilities, meet the Woodley team and enjoy afternoon tea prepared alongside live music.
