On Friday 30th August, Woodley Grange Care Home proudly hosted our monthly Love Life Café, this time dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s charities. We’re delighted to share that the event was a huge success – together with our residents, families, staff, and visitors, we raised an incredible £370 in support of a cause that is especially close to our hearts.
A purple celebration of community and care
The lounge was transformed with beautiful purple decorations, symbolising Alzheimer’s Awareness. Guests were treated to a wonderful afternoon filled with themed cakes, refreshments, and plenty of community spirit. Alongside the delicious bakes, we offered bags, pens, lanyards, and pin badges for purchase, with every contribution helping to make a meaningful difference.
The raffle proved to be a highlight of the day and raised the most money. Our lucky top prize winner took home a Nespresso Vertuo Pop coffee machine, while other fantastic prizes included a Nespresso Nomad travel mug, a 3-in-1 styling gift set, a Daewoo bullet blender, a set of six wine glasses, hand cream and wash sets, and reed diffusers.
What is the Love Life Café?
Our Love Life Café is a regular community event held on the last Friday of every month, from 2–4pm. Everyone is welcome – there’s no need to book. Whether you’d like to drop by for a quick cuppa or stay for a friendly chat, it’s a lovely way to spend time together and support good causes.
