PERSON-CENTRED LOVING CARE

We provide accommodation, meals and 24-hour person-centred loving care to residents who can no longer be cared for at home.

Our person-centred care approach means that your loved one will be respected as an individual and treated with dignity at all times.

Every resident is thoroughly assessed and our care team build on this information over time to create a person-centred care plan that has all the specific information relating to the health and welfare of your loved one.

DEDICATED ACTIVITIES

Our Homes each have a dedicated activity co-ordinator who organises activities, such as arts and crafts, gardening, reminiscence therapy, exercise to music, and one-to-one involvement.

We encourage residents to carry out small tasks throughout the day, such as helping to lay the table or watering the plants, which helps retain their self-esteem and involvement in daily life.

Our carers take the time to learn each resident’s life history, with the help of your support. Understanding the reasons behind an action can help us overcome our residents’ frustrations when they are unable to express what they want – a common problem with dementia.

Amazing friendly staff

Mum has been at the care home for six months now and during that time the care has been excellent. I am advised promptly of any problems which are dealt with speedily and professionally. When my husband died they went to great lengths to ensure mum was looked after and able to cope with the information. Her room is always clean and tidy. Fun activities!

A wonderful care home

Woodley Grange is a wonderful care home. All the staff are friendly and professional. Dad is always telling his family how caring the staff are to him. Dad enjoys his meals at home, especially when the chef makes her delicious food. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all they do for my lovely dad.

Barton Lodge have made my mother feel so welcome during a very difficult time for her. The staff have been so friendly and the manager has given us so much advice and help it's been overwhelming. It's a lovely care home and I'm more than happy that we have gone there.
